Cast Iron Grates for Char Broil Patio Bistro
Monday, April 15, 2013 1:48:08 AM America/Los_Angeles
The 18.5" cast iron grate is a perfect fit for the Charbroils Patio Bistro. For some added smoke we recommend using some wood pellets. Maple works great, just a small handful, they smolder, more like incense. Great taste!
Thank you Shane for sending that in.

22.5" Grate, Fully Utilized
Thursday, December 10, 2009 2:10:16 AM America/Los_Angeles
I had guests over, so I made a bit of everything and fully utilized the 22.5" cast iron grill grate. The coals are under the griddle and the potatoes right next to them on the bottom grate. Onions and brats on the griddle, bunch of wings closer to the fire, cream-cheese, bacon, onion stuffed green peppers and corn (soaked for an hour, husk half removed) The egg-plants are for the egg-plant salad. Enjoy!

Some Q
Thursday, June 18, 2009 1:29:51 AM America/Los_Angeles
We got 10 potatoes under the grate, 6 sausages, 10 pound of pork, one wrapped and one marinated, a chicken and a baguette.

We are hungry, so we put the sausage and bread on early.

Later we threw some steak on for a thai steak salad.

Basic Grill Setup
Tuesday, May 12, 2009 11:29:37 AM America/Los_Angeles
Coals on both sides, potatoes under the grate and a (dirty) griddle. I usually use very lumpy charcoal, it still looks like the tree it came from, they light up fast, and get hot fast, but I got to lift up a quarter once in a while to add or otherwise mess around with the coals.

We played with different marinades but found that if we put on too much it turned a bit “dark”

Today we had Flank steak, a tough cut, but we managed it quite well.
The crust was incredible!
